Compassionate Hearts Alliance USA/Belize
“Since 2002, 100% of every dollar donated to Compassionate Hearts Alliance has gone directly toward our mission efforts. We have maintained this commitment by operating without overhead expenses for our staff or personnel. Our donors can be confident that their contributions directly support the children, families, and communities we serve.”
Compassionate Hearts Alliance has been blessed to share the love of Christ through educational sponsorships, medical missions, humanitarian aid, and partnerships with churches throughout Belize. What began as a step of faith has become a ministry that has impacted countless lives through God's grace and the faithful support of friends like you.
As James and Lorrie enter a well-earned retirement and prepare for the next season of life, they do so with grateful hearts and complete confidence in God's plan. While stepping back from active missionary service in Belize, Compassionate Hearts Alliance will remain an active U.S. 501(c)(3) organization. Our Student Sponsorship and School Feeding Programs will continue to operate from Texas as we have faithfully done for many years, while our daughter, Saida, prayerfully seeks God's direction for future mission opportunities. We trust that the Lord, who has faithfully guided this ministry since its beginning, will continue to lead and bless its future.
The transfer of My Father's House, located at 33 Central American Boulevard, Belize City, Belize, to Open Door Believers Chapel is expected to be finalized in September 2026. This transition will ensure that the ministry center continues to serve the people of Belize for generations to come, fulfilling the vision of missionary Marianne Gibbs Smith and honoring the faithful stewardship of Pastor Dickie Soutar. Together, their unwavering commitment to sharing the love of Jesus Christ has created a lasting legacy that will continue to transform lives through the ministry of Open Door Believers Chapel and the Belize Bible Society.
Our journey has always been about more than one family—it has been about God's faithfulness and the lives He continues to transform. We thank every volunteer, sponsor, church, and supporter who has faithfully walked beside us. Your prayers and generosity have made an eternal difference. The future of Compassionate Hearts Alliance awaits—with hope, faith, and confidence in God's unfailing promises.
Thank you, and God bless!

As we look ahead, we are reminded of Philippians 1:6: "He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus."

Since 2018, the Compassionate Hearts Alliance Feeding Program has been an integral part of our Student Sponsorship Program at St. Margaret Mary R.C. School in St. Margaret's Village, Belize. We recognize that a child cannot fully benefit from an education on an empty stomach. By providing nutritious, freshly prepared meals each school day, we help ensure that students have the energy to learn, the strength to grow, and the opportunity to reach their God-given potential.
As Compassionate Hearts Alliance transitions into a new season of ministry, our Student Sponsorship Program, together with our School Feeding Program, will become the only ministries we continue to operate from Texas. Just as we have faithfully done since their inception, we remain committed to investing in the education, health, and future of the children of St. Margaret's Village through these life-changing programs.
Through the generosity of our donors and the dedication of two local cooks from St. Margaret's Village, this life-changing program will continue serving children every school day, investing in their education, health, and future while demonstrating the love of Jesus Christ in a practical way.
We believe that every meal served is an investment in a child's future and a reminder that God's love is experienced not only through words, but through compassionate action.
Before the COVID-19 pandemic, our Feeding Program served 125 children every school day. Although the program has resumed at a smaller capacity, the need remains great. Our goal is to once again provide daily meals for at least 125 children, ensuring that every student has the nourishment needed to succeed in school.
This ministry is made possible entirely through the generosity of faithful individuals, churches, businesses, and community partners. Every gift helps provide nutritious meals, supports the employment of two local cooks from St. Margaret's Village, and strengthens our commitment to educating and caring for Belize's children.
When you invest in our Feeding Program, you are investing in a child's education, health, and future while sharing the love of Jesus Christ in a practical and life-changing way. Together, we can continue opening doors of opportunity—one meal, one student, and one future at a time.
